Guesssss who hasn’t written on this blog in… a while? Things are going well overall, so don’t worry about that. I’ve got big medical appointments, lots of writing, the ever present depression, and surviving the last dregs of summer trying to cook me alive.
But I intended to shift this blog to be about writing. So here’s a short take about writing for y’all. The strangest part of being a writer by far, is when you have no writing to do. Blood and Roses is currently being beta read again, so I’m free and clear to relax until that’s done. Which turns out to be hell for a writer, I need to write or I will combust.
It’s a weird thing, in terms of “career tasks” I’m entirely on track. But the call is always there, gnawing at my mind, rotting my insides with the need to create. So I’ve been satisfying the dark urges of the muses by writing fanfiction. So. Much. Fanfiction. But really, I’m just trying to rest and relax as best I can, a challenge greater than writing a novel length manuscript imo. It’s a funny thing really, but I’m doing my best.
